Here is the last Firefox ESR supported version here. So, no more supported web browsers for OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard, any longer. Mozilla Firefox ESR last update for OS X 10.6.8 was last May 2017. Even the Mozilla Firefox ESR version for OS X 10.6.8 is a year old now. I now understand Firefox are also stopping security updates for Snow Leopard, and along with Safari also suggest I download El Capitan to keep my Mac secure. Can anyone suggest a secure web browser that will work on my iMac running Snow Leopard 10.6.8? When Apple decided to stop security updates for Safari I downloaded Firefox as my browser. The only problem I have with it is finding a good browser to use.

Os x 10.6.8 I have an old Macbook - the white plastic kind from the mid-2000's - that still works perfectly. OS X.7 and OS X.8 are no longer supported by Apple. Firefox will run on OS X.6 and is probably the best option at this stage. If you use Safari, that is tied to the operating system an cannot be updated. Snow Leopard OS X.6.8 is a very old operating system.
